Since of our family of 3 changed to a family of 4 almost three years ago...I've been meaning to update our number 3 sign to the number 4. I've finally got around to completing it...
And i love the way it turned out
So I had my hubby repaint the old sign that had our number 3 on it. It's just a piece of plywood that i had the hubby cut down a while ago |

Use your photo program of choice, pick your font, and create the document the size you want your finished project to be. Have your document printed at your local print shop or Officemax/Staples. I then taped it down to the board and proceed to cut out the four with my ruler and X Acto Knife. One I had it cut out I used a pencil to trace out the four before removing the printed 4 from the plywood. |
Once I had the 4 traced out. I got ready to use painters tape to mask off the area that I wanted to paint. |
Now I'm ready to paint. |
Painted...wait for it to dry. |
Painters tape removed and ready to install. | |

Here is our family of 4 sign in its new home. |
The only thing that I'm thinking about doing is distressing it a little...but I'm a little nervous about doing it because I'm afraid it might ruin it.
